Three Chemical Businesses in Yancheng Expected to Resume Production 8 Months after Xiangshui Explosion

On November 10, 2019, the People’s Government of Dafeng District, Yancheng City published three notices, announcing that three chemical companies in its jurisdiction (including Jiangsu Huifeng Bio Agriculture Co., Ltd. , Jiangsu Haixing Chemical Co., Ltd.  and Jiangsu Haili Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. ) are applying for municipal-level review of their production resumption.
Taiwan Requires Additional Operational Information on Specific Priority Management Chemicals

On 12th September 2019, Taiwan Occupational Safety and Health Authority under MoL issued a notice requiring submission of additional operational information from the handling enterprises of 10 designated priority management chemicals. The additional information should be submitted through the online PRochem platform before 15th November 2019. The affected chemicals are shown in Table 1.

On 12th October 2019, China Chemical Safety Association (CCSA) issued a notice to seek public feedback on the draft of the Guideline of Safety Management for Chemical Laboratories, which is an association standard formulated by CCSA. China New Chemical
China's new chemical management system is under revision. The revision of MEP Order 7 and its overarching Regulation on Environmental Risk Assessment and Control of Chemical Substances have been notified to the WTO for comments.
The revised K-REACH legislation is a significant deviation from the regulatory mechanisms outlined in the previous version. The amendments came into effect on Jan 1st, 2019, which sets out a plan of registering existing substances over 1 ton per year in the next 12 years.
