Vietnam Consults on Revising its POP Regulations

As notified on its official website, Vietnam's Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE) is consulting on the revision on Decree No. 08/2022/ND-CP Detailing a Number of Articles of the Law on Environmental Protection. The Decree stipulate provisions on the persistent organic pollutants (POPs) and raw materials, fuels, materials, products, goods and equipment containing POPs. Comments are welcome until November 4, 2023.

Vietnam Consults on Permissible Exposure Limits for 80 Chemicals at Workplace

On August 21, 2023, Vietnam's Ministry of Health released a draft Circular XX/2024/TT-BYT, which promulgates the National Technical Regulation on Permissible Exposure Limit Value of 80 Chemicals at the Workplace (hereinafter referred to as the Regulation). The Circular is proposed to take effect from May 2024 and is now open for public consultation.

Vietnam Consults on Revision of Regulation on Transport of Dangerous Goods

On June 23, 2023, Vietnam’s Ministry of Transport (MoT) is preparing dossiers to develop a Decree stipulating the list of dangerous goods, the transport of dangerous goods by road motor vehicles and the transport of dangerous goods on inland waterways. It is set to replace the existing Decree No.42/2020/ND-CP. The draft is now open for consultation.
