Indonesia Revises Regulation on Distribution and Control of Hazardous Substances

On February 10, 2022, Indonesia published the Minister of Trade No. 7 of 2022 Regulation Concerning Distribution and Control of Hazardous Substances (hereinafter referred to as the Regulation) and came into force on the same day. The Regulation consists of 44 articles and 3 attachments, establishing a management framework for the distribution, reporting, returning, destruction of hazardous substances.

WTO Circulates Indonesian Decree on Materials Exempted from Mandatory Halal Certification

WTO circulated Indonesian Decree on Materials Excluded from Halal Certification Obligation. Materials in the Decree do not require halal certification, including: 1) Materials derived from nature without any further process or physical process or addition of any auxiliary substances, additives, or other substances; 2) Materials without risk of containing or being contaminated by haram substances; 3) Non-dangerous materials without containing haram substances.

Indonesia Revises List of Goods Prohibited from Import

On June 13, 2022, Indonesia’s Ministry of Trade (MoT) issued the Regulation No. 40 of 2022 (hereinafter referred to as the Revision), amending the Regulation of the Ministry of Trade No. 18 of 2021 on Goods Prohibited from Import and Export (MoT Reg 18/2021). The Revision took effect on June 14, 2022.
