China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) drafted the first batch of the Qualification Management Catalogue and the Exemption List of the Administrative Measures on the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Products (China RoHS 2) in June of 2017. On 12 March 2018, MIIT officially released the Qualification Management Catalogue and the Exemption List. They will go into effect on 12 March 2019.

China RoHS2 refers to the Achieving Management Catalogue for the Restriction of Hazardous Substances in Electrical Appliances and Electronic Products (first batch).
