Summary

On November 20, 2025, the Washington State Department of Ecology adopted Amendments to Chapter 173-337 WAC (Amending WSR 23-12-044) regarding PFAS in Consumer Products. This regulation establishes new restrictions and reporting requirements for perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in specific categories of consumer products and presumes intentional PFAS addition when total fluorine exceeds 50 ppm.
