On January 12, 2026, New Jersey enacted the "Protecting Against Forever Chemicals Act". Administered by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, this law establishes comprehensive restrictions on intentionally added PFAS in certain consumer products, introduces cookware PFAS labeling requirements, and mandates PFAS source reduction, research, monitoring, and reporting programs.
