On April 13, 2026, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued a final rule modifying the start date of the data submission period for the Perfluoroalkyl and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) Reporting and Recordkeeping Rule under TSCA section 8(a)(7). This rule postpones and redefines the beginning of the PFAS data submission window to January 31, 2027, or 60 days after a forthcoming final rule on substantive reporting requirements, whichever occurs earlier.
