On December 21, 2020, the Minister of Industry and Trade of Vietnam promulgated the National Technical Regulation on Mercury Content in Fluorescent Lamps (QCVN 02A:2020/BCT). This regulation sets maximum permissible mercury limits for different types of fluorescent lamps and requires producers, importers, and traders to ensure conformity and register conformity declarations before placing the products on the market.
