On July 7, 2026, the AICIS issued two notices to vary specific information requirements (SIR) for two industrial chemicals listed in the AIIC. Based on their risk evaluation statements published on June 26 this year, the AICIS concluded that the SIR variation should be made to manage the risks from the introduction (importation or manufacture) of these chemicals. The proposed date of variation is August 4, 2026.
