This standard applies to the classification and labeling for pyrophoric solid. The current version is an update of its initial one published on 12 Oct 2006, based on Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals, ST/SG/AC. 10/31/Rev.2 (GHS Rev.2 released in 2007).
A pyrophoric solid is a solid which, even in small quantities, is liable to ignite within 5 min after coming into contact with air.
