JIS Z 7253:2012 provides guidance on the chemical hazard communication, including the elements, contents, general layout, label preparation, workplace labelling and SDS compilation based on the GHS classes and categories. It does not specify a fixed format, nor does it contain a blank label or SDS as an example.
This standard was formulated based on ISO 11014:2009, UN GHS Rev.4 (2011), and incorporated the integrated contents of JIS Z 7250: 2010 on SDS and JIS Z 7251:2010 on labelling together with newly added requirements concerning workplace labelling.
