The CNS 15030 serial standards were initiated in 2006 based on the 1st revised edition of GHS and revised in 2008 to adopt GHS Rev.2. In 2015, Taiwan's Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection (BSMI) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) finalized changes to 11 of the 28 national CNS 15030 serial standards and newly published the volume for "hazardous to the ozone layer", which are all in lined with UN GHS Rev.4. 

The standards are issued as the general rules for the classification and labeling of hazardous chemicals in Taiwan. The detailed description of each standard for specific hazardous property shall refer to the standards of CNS 15030-1 to 15030-27.
