The CNS 15030 serial standards were initiated in 2006 based on the 1st revised version of GHS and revised in 2008 to adopt GHS Rev.2. In 2015, Taiwan's Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection (BSMI) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) finalized revision to 11 of the 28 existing CNS 15030 serial standards and published the newly added CNS 15030-28 for "hazardous to the ozone layer".

This standard applies to the classification and labelling of chemicals which is hazardous to the ozone layer. It was published on Sep 23, 2015 and took effect immediately.
