South Korea's GHS Classification List is dynamically updated as the Annex 4 of the Regulations on Classification and Labeling of the Chemicals. 

The latest updates are summarized as below.

  • Updated on August 5th, by NIER Announcement No. 2020-25, 31 toxic chemical substances (Given No. 2020-1-970~2020-1-1000) were added to the list. In addition, the classification information of 5 toxic substances (Given No. 97-1-12, 2014-1-694, 2019-1-930, 2019-1-931, 2019-1-951) and 2 accident precaution chemicals (Given No. 21 and 91) previously designated was updated.

  • Updated on April 1st, 2020, by NIER Announcement No. 2020-8, 13 toxic chemical substances (Given No. 2020-1-957~2020-1-969) were added to the list. In addition, the name or classification information of 4 toxic substances (Given No. 97-1-167, 2017-1-772, 2018-1-831, 2018-1-844) previously designated was updated.

  • Updated on December 9th, 2019, by NIER Announcement No. 2019-57, 8 toxic chemical substances (Given No. 2019-1-949~2019-1-956) were added to the list. In addition, the classification information of 17 toxic substances (Given No. 97-1-273, 2016-1-725, 2016-1-730, 2016-1-732, 2016-1-739, 2016-1-740, 2016-1-742, 2016-1-743, 2017-1-750, 2017-1-766, 2017-1-769, 2017-1-771, 2018-1-845, 2018-1-859, 2018-1-865, 2018-1-868, 2019-1-898) previously designated was updated.

  • Updated on October 21st, 2019, by NIER Announcement No.2019-45, 18 toxic chemical substances (Given No. 2019-1-931 ~ 2019-1-948) were provided with official classification information, pictograms, signal words, hazard statements, M factors, and UN No. In addition, the classification information of 6 toxic substances (Given No. 97-1-130, 97-1-171, 2010-1-609, 2014-1-693, 2014-1-695, 2019-1-880) and 2 accident precaution chemicals (No.50 and 78) previously designated were updated.

  • Updated on September 11th, 2019, by NIER Announcement No. 2019-35, 15 toxic chemical substances (Given No. 2019-1-916~2019-1-930) were added to the list. In addition, the classification information of one toxic substance (Given No. 2019-1-903) previously designated was updated.

  • Updated on May 2nd, 2019, by NIER Announcement No. 2019-8, 38 toxic chemical substances (Given No. 2019-1-878~2019-1-915) were newly added to the list. Also, the classification information of three toxic substances (Given No. 2017-1-789, 2017-1-794, 2018-1-832) was updated.
