Summary

October 8, 2011, the SAWS published the draft proposal of a list of “Use quantities standard for the first batch of hazardous chemicals” for public consultation. A 40-day consulting period ended on 18 November but the final version of this regulation has not yet been published so far to day.

This list has specified the minimum annual use quantities for a first group of 60 hazardous chemicals under priority management (“priority hazardous chemicals” in short) (SAWS Order 95 of 2011) plus 2 chemical substances that are liable to explosive accidents, 2,2’-Azodi-(2,4-dimethyl)valeronitrile and 2,2’-Azobis(2-methylpropionitrile).

This List was released together with the 2011 draft Measures for the Administration of Hazardous Chemicals Safe Use Permit
