This national standard is to provide guidance on compilation of SDS for chemical products, serving as the supplementary document of GB/T 16483 - 2008 Safety Data Sheet for Chemical Products Content and Order of Sections.
The formulation of GB/T 17519 - 2013 has consulted many other internationally well-recognized regulations, standards and guidelines related to SDS compilation, inter alia, UN GHS fourth revised edition (2011), ECHA Guidance on the Compilation of Safety Data Sheet (Ver. 1.1, 2011-12), American National Standard ANSI Z400.1/Z 129.1 - 2010, Japanese Industrial Standard JIS Z 7250:2010.
