JT/T617-2018 is the first integrated regulations for Road TDG in China. It uses ADR as a reference and comprises 7 parts, including:--General Provisions;--Classification;--Index of Dangerous Goods Name and Transportation Requirement;--Provisions for the Use of Transport Packagings;--Consignment (see CL translation); --Provisions concerning the Conditions of Carriage, Loading, Unloading and Handling (see CL translation);--Transport Conditions and Operational Requirements (see CL translation).JT/T 617.1, General Provisions, stipulates the scope of dangerous goods, and transportation requirements and exemptions, requirements on international multimodal transport, personnel training, safety of involved parties and security guard.This part applies to road transport of dangerous goods.

The revised Enforcement Decree of the Act on Registration and Evaluation, etc. of Chemical Substances (hereafter referred to as K-REACH Enforcement Decree) was promulgated on 24 Dec 2018 by Presidential Decree No. 29413. The Enforcement Decree and Enforcement Rules were revised accordingly to corporate with K-REACH's revisions. The updates came into effect on 1 Jan 2019.

Regulations on Environmental Risk Assessment and Control of Chemical Substances (Draft)

The draft Regulation on Chemical Substance Environmental Risk Assessment and Control was issued on 8 Jan, with the ambition to comprehensively manage chemicals, covering both new and existing chemicals in China. China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) drafted the first batch of the Qualification Management Catalogue and the Exemption List of the Administrative Measures on the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Products (China RoHS 2) in June of 2017. On 12 March 2018, MIIT officially released the Qualification Management Catalogue and the Exemption List. They will go into effect on 12 March 2019.
