On 27 December 2013, a public hearing will be held in Korea. The public hearing welcomes participates of a diversity of stakeholders, who are interested in the implementation of K-REACH and CCA.
South Korea issued the overhauled Toxic Chemical Control Act (TCCA) on 4 June 2013, which is renamed as Chemical Control Act (CCA) and will be in force on 1 Jan 2015, the same time when K-REACH goes effective. The subordinate statutes of K-REACH and CCA should be published before these two regulations kicks in. Drafts of the lower statutes are expected to be introduced on the same day as the hearing.
