In recent years, Taiwan has established a comprehensive chemical management system centered on risk prevention. The framework is built upon two major regulatory pillars: the Toxic and Concerned Chemical Substances Control Act (TCCSCA) and the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA).
The regulatory process spans the entire lifecycle of a chemical, from market access and graded registration to licensing and operational management. Depending on the risk level of the chemicals, the regulations impose differentiated requirements, such as registration, licensing, and reporting. As regulatory experience grows, the competent authorities dynamically update control lists and management measures to ensure higher regulatory precision and effectiveness.
This session will systematically review the logic of Taiwan’s chemical regulations. By combining the latest regulatory practices, we aim to help enterprises identify key compliance priorities and effectively mitigate the risk of non-compliance.
