The Act on the Registration and Evaluation of Chemicals (K-REACH) serves as the core regulation in South Korea's chemical regulatory system. Risk-based in its approach, this regulation imposes systematic management on the manufacture, import and use of chemical substances within South Korea through mechanisms of registration, evaluation and information transmission. Since August 7, 2025, the revised provisions of K-REACH have been officially enforced. This revision introduces the concept of substance with unconfirmed hazards, refines the classification for toxic substances, and simultaneously strengthens the corresponding requirements for substance information and risk transmission.
This webinar will focus on interpreting the key points of the revision, elaborating on the frequently asked questions among enterprises since the implementation of the revision, and helping enterprises accurately understand their compliance obligations to properly address market access and ongoing compliance management in South Korea.
