Updates: On November 28, 2022, the National Health Commission of the People's Republic of China (NHC) announced to amend GBZ 2.1-2019 Occupational Exposure Limits for Hazardous Agents in the Workplace Part 1: Chemical Hazardous Agents. The amendment takes effect the same day it was released.
GBZ 2.1-2019 is a compulsory national standard concerning occupational exposure limits for chemical hazardous agents on workplace, which is set to come into effect on 1 April, 2020. This standard has set occupational exposure limits for 358 hazardous chemicals, 49 kinds of dust and 3 biological agents(Beauveria bassiana & Subtilisins).
This standard is applicable to the design of industrial hygiene and various workplaces existing or generating chemical hazards. It is made for the purpose of the monitoring, assessing and controlling of the hygiene and working conditions, exposure degree of chemical agents for workers, leakage of production facilities and the effect of protective measures on workplace, apart from the supervision purpose on occupational health.
