This standard applies to the classification and labeling for chemicals which cause specific organ toxicity arising from a single exposure. It was updated on Feb 24, 2025 to align with UN GHS Rev.8, which replaced its 2008 version.

This standard is to provide a means of classifying substances that produce specific, non-lethal target organ/systemic toxicity arising from a single exposure. All significant health effects that can impair function, both reversible and irreversible, immediate and/or delayed and not specifically addressed in CNS 15030-17 to CNS 15030-23 and CNS 15030-26 are included.
