This standard applies to the classification and labeling for chemicals which cause specific organ toxicity arising from a single exposure. The current version is an update of its initial one published on 12 Oct 2006, based on Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals, ST/SG/AC. 10/31/Rev.2 (GHS Rev.2 released in 2007).
This standard is to provide a means of classifying substances that produce specific, non-lethal target organ/systemic toxicity arising from a single exposure. All significant health effects that can impair function, both reversible and irreversible, immediate and/or delayed and not specifically addressed in CNS 15030-17 (Classification and Labeling of Chemicals – Acute toxicity) to CNS 15030-23 (Classification and Labeling of Chemicals – Reproductive toxicity) are included.
