On June 24, 2025, China's Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE) published on its website the List of Toxic and Hazardous Water Pollutants (2nd Batch).
The second batch contains 11 types of water pollutants.

The above mentioned water pollutants were screened out based on the Catalogue of Chemical Substances subject to Priority Control. Enterprises which emit chemicals listed in the Catalogue must obtain a pollutants emission permit and pay corresponding emission fees.
