Summary

On December 12, 2025, the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union published Regulation (EU) 2025/2509 on the safety of toys. This regulation sets harmonized safety requirements for toys, introduces a Digital Product Passport, strengthens chemical and physical safety provisions, and repeals Directive 2009/48/EC.
