Administrative Measures on the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Products is also referred as “China RoHS 2”. It was officially published in Jan 2016 by MIIT and 7 other ministries and took effect from Jul 1st 2016. The document is called the Qualification Management List and is the draft of the 1st batch of electrical and electronic products that are regulated by China RoHS 2. It imposes concentration limits for some hazardous chemicals on these products. The concentration limit is 1000mg/kg for lead, mercury, chromium (6+), poly brominated biphenyls (PBBs) and poly brominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs); and 100mg/kg for cadmium.
