T/CCSAS 047-2023 Technical specification for coding and labeling of hazardous chemicals

On December 25, 2023, the China Chemical Safety Association (CCSA) released the T/CCSAS 047-2023 Technical specification for coding and labeling of hazardous chemicals, which took effect immediately. It is a group standard in regard to the coding and labeling of hazardous chemicals. Specifically, it details the coding objects for labeling hazardous chemicals, coding principles, coding structure and parsing, information labeling, and use requirements, etc. This document applies to the coding of hazardous chemicals and labeling of them during production, storage, transportation, operation, use, and other stages.

GB 12268-20XX List of Dangerous Goods (Draft)

"GB 12268 List of Dangerous Goods" is a national mandatory standard regarding dangerous goods within China. It was first issued on 25 July 2005 and implemented on 1 November 2005. It has been revised in 2012. To be in line with the UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods - Model Regulations (Rev. 22), the UN Manual of Tests and Criteria (Rev. 7), and other relevant regulations and technical standards in China, the authority drafted the revisions to GB 6944 and GB 12268 to solicit public feedback. The period for comments ended on May 8, 2023. Once adopted, the revised standards are expected to take effect 12 months after publication and replace their 2012 versions.GB 12268 applies to the transport, storage, distribution and related activities of dangerous goods. It lists the most common dangerous goods during the process of transport, storage, sale, distribution and other related activities, which is intended to cover, as far as practicable, all dangerous substances and articles of commercial importance.

"GB 6944 Classification and code of dangerous goods" is a national mandatory standard in regard to dangerous goods within the country. It was first formulated in 1986 and implemented on July 1, 1987. It was revised twice in 2005 and 2012. Updates: On November 28, 2022, the National Health Commission of the People's Republic of China (NHC) announced to amend GBZ 2.1-2019 Occupational Exposure Limits for Hazardous Agents in the Workplace Part 1: Chemical Hazardous Agents. The amendment takes effect the same day it was released. GBZ 2.1-2019 is a compulsory national standard concerning occupational exposure limits for chemical hazardous agents on workplace, which is set to come into effect on 1 April, 2020. This standard has set occupational exposure limits for 358 hazardous chemicals, 49 kinds of dust and 3 biological agents(Beauveria bassiana & Subtilisins).This standard is applicable to the design of industrial hygiene and various workplaces existing or generating chemical hazards. It is made for the purpose of the monitoring, assessing and controlling of the hygiene and working conditions, exposure degree of chemical agents for workers, leakage of production facilities and the effect of protective measures on workplace, apart from the supervision purpose on occupational health. This standard is not applicable to unprofessional contact.
