Compared with the previous version, the main amendments are as below:

• The name of the regulation, Taiwan’s Toxic Chemical Substances Labeling and Materials Safety Data Sheet Regulations, is renamed as “Toxic Chemical Substances Labeling and Safety Data Sheet Regulations”

• To align with the Globally Harmonized System for Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS), the name of “Material Safety Data Sheet” is changed to “Safety Data Sheet”.

• Since the Chinese National Standards (CNS) 15030 on Classification and Labeling of Chemicals has specified the classification and labeling requirements, containers and packaging of toxic chemical substances should comply with CNS 15030 serial national standards instead of the previous Appendix 1. As for the handling sites and facilities of toxic chemical substances, presenting hazard information in clearly visible locations should also refer to CNS 15030 serial national standards. The Appendix 1 of the previous Regulation is eliminated.
