The global chemical industry saw notable regulatory developments in 2025, with changes impacting chemical regulatory framework and compliance across multiple regions. In the Asia Pacific, China passed the Law on Hazardous Chemicals Safety. South Korea introduced the concept of 'substance with unconfirmed hazards' under K-REACH and reclassified 'toxic chemicals' to impose more appropriate control under K-CCA based on hazard level. Vietnam enacted Law No. 69/2025/QH15 on Chemicals, effective January 1, 2026. More countries, including Japan, India, the Philippines, Singapore, Australia, and New Zealand, have also undergone certain regulatory updates, further enhancing chemical safety and compliance within their respective jurisdictions.
The constantly evolving chemical regulatory landscape makes it essential for global stakeholders to closely monitor compliance requirements. To support this need, ChemLinked has prepared the "2025 in Review & 2026 Ahead" webinar series to provide an overview of revised and emerging chemical regulations in 2025, while also offering guidance on anticipated developments in 2026, helping industry stakeholders address regulatory complexity and make informed strategic decisions.
