On June 12, 2026, South Korea’s National Institute of Chemical Safety (NICS) issued a notice proposing partial amendments to the Regulations on the Classification and Labeling of Chemical Substances. This proposed update, aligned with the Act on the Registration and Evaluation of Chemical Substances (K-REACH), aims to include hazard classification information for certain chemical substances that are to be designated as hazardous substances and revise existing entries based on hazard assessment results.
