Background

The long-awaited Hazardous Substances Safety Law of the People's Republic of China was finally launched and set to take effect on May 1, 2026. Comprising 10 chapters, the law provides comprehensive regulation across the entire lifecycle of hazardous chemicals, covering their production, storage, use, business operations, transportation, and emergency response. This closed-loop management system is designed to eliminate regulatory blind spots by assigning specific requirements to every stage of handling hazardous materials.

Stakeholders are advised to review their safety management systems, personnel certifications, and facility standards to align with the new statutory requirements before the effective date. This webinar will provide an in-depth interpretation of the new law.
