India Introduces EPR Regulations for Used Oils

On September 18, 2023, India's Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) issued the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) regulations for used oil in the Gazette of India. The regulations are also called the Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Second Amendment Rules, 2023. It shall come into force from April 1, 2024.

New Zealand Bans PFHxS, its Salts and Related Compounds under HSNO Act

Taiwan to Draft New Act to Boost Recycling

Taiwan’s Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) is set to propose a new amendment this year that will consolidate the existing Waste Disposal Act and the Resource Recycling Act into a single "Resources Recycling Promotion Act". This will encourage waste reduction at the source and promote green design and boost recycling in Taiwan.
