Mao Da
Chairman of the Board of Toxics-Free Corps
Mao Da is now the Chair of the Board of Shenzhen Zero Waste (also known as Toxics-Free Corps), an non-profit organization in China. He holds a PhD degree in environmental history. Over the past 18 years, he has been actively working with different environmental NGOs for their efforts to reduce pollution of wastes and toxic chemicals, and promote public health. In the academic area, he has published a book on the history of ocean waste disposal in the United States and finished a post-doctorate report on the history of social debate on dioxin. Currently his work focuses more on sound management of chemicals, greening of e-commerce, plastic pollution prevention and promotion of zero waste strategy.
