China has issued the amendment to China REACH - Provisions on the Environmental Management of New Chemical Substances on 21 August 2009.
There are two main revisions in this amendment. First, it improves the screening and identification system of new chemical substances and adds two notification types: low volume notification and scientific record filling notification. Second, it establishes Priority control system of risky new chemical substances.
The intended adoption and effective dates of the amendment will be December 2009 and 15th October 2010 respectively. Opinions and proposals are welcome within the following 60 days after its publication.
