Taiwan Updates List of Dangerous Goods Which Are Transported by Air and Provisions for Dangerous Goods Carried by Passengers and Crew

It is intended to facilitate industry compliance with the new international requirements for the safe transport of dangerous goods by air.

On May 20, 2026, the Civil Aviation Administration (CAA) of Taiwan’s Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOTC) issued an updated List of Dangerous Goods Transported by Air and the related provisions for Dangerous Goods Carried by Passengers and Crew, which entered into force immediately.

The amendments are intended to align Taiwan’s aviation regulations with Addendum No. 1 to the International Civil Aviation Organization’s Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air 2025–2026 (Doc. 9284), which introduces new requirements regarding lithium batteries (including power banks) and portable electronic devices, applicable from March 27, 2026.
