On Feb 25th, 2014, China’s Ministry of Environmental Protection (MEP) issued a draft “Measures on Supervision and Administration of Safe Transport of Radioactive Articles” for consultation. The Measures were drafted in order to better implement the Regulation on the Administration of Safe Transport of Radioactive Articles (State Council Decree No.562), to standardize the supervision on the transport of radioactive articles and to provide technical and practical guidance on transport of radioactive goods and the design, manufacture and use of proper containers during the transport.
The consultation period will end on April 15th, 2014. MEP is expecting feedbacks from the following administrations and stakeholders:
