The Vietnam Chemical Agency (Vinachemia) has recently issued an important announcement requiring all organizations and individuals registered on the specialized chemical database to review and update their information. This mandate is part of a broader initiative to standardize and clean up data in accordance with Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW.
According to the official announcement from the Vietnam Chemical Agency, all organizations and individuals with accounts on the specialized chemical database must review their registered information before July 30, 2026.
If the existing information is correct, users must click "Confirm Accuracy" (Xác nhận chính xác) to complete the process. In case the information is incorrect, incomplete, or deviated from reality, users must click "Correct Information" (Đính chính thông tin) and update the details to reflect the current situation.
The agency emphasizes that organizations and individuals bear full responsibility for the accuracy and completeness of the information they confirm or correct on the system.
What is Specialized Chemical Database
The National Chemical Database is the cornerstone of Vietnam's digital transformation in chemical management. Managed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT), its functions have been significantly expanded under Article 27 of Decree 26/2026/ND-CP to serve as a comprehensive state management tool.
Organizations must update the following information into the Specialized Chemical Database fully and accurately:
List of Chemicals | Description | Deadline / Frequency |
|---|---|---|
Conditional Chemicals | Declare the purpose of use before importing | Per shipment |
Chemicals Requiring Special Control | Declare the chemical types and purpose of use when using | 30 days before placing on the market |
Hazardous Chemicals in Products | Declare the data on production or importing products containing hazardous substances. | As required |
The database can be accessed at https://chemicaldata.gov.vn/cms.nc .
