Maine adopts final rule to introduce provisions on implementation of currently avoidable uses for the upcoming PFAS ban.

Updates: On July 17, 2025, the Maine DEP reviewed proposed amendments to "Chapter 90 - Products Containing Perfluoroalkyl and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances" as scheduled.  According to the relevant staff memo, DEP has accepted 11 proposed Currently Unavoidable Use (CUU) determinations across the following product categories:
