Recently, China’s National Registration Center for Chemicals (NRCC) of the State Administration of Work Safety (SAWS) uploaded a video course demonstrating how to register hazardous chemicals.

The course consists of four chapters as follows:
Overview
Registration procedures
Application procedures for registration modification and submission of modified information
Application procedures for renewal registration and re-submission of chemical information
According to SAWS’s 2014 work scheme, the authority will carry out a general inspection of Hazchem registration targeted at importers. Detailed drafts specifying the practical implementation procedures are also currently in development. Official launch of the program is expected in the first half of 2014.
