Brazil “REACH”: The Road Ahead

Korea Publishes 62 New Chemicals Registered and Assessed under OSHA
The list comprises 62 new chemical substances, among which 27, including “1,5-Naphthylenediamine”, “4-Chlorobenzophenone”, etc., have been found to possess hazards such as acute toxicity, skin corrosion/irritation, and serious eye damage, etc.

Vietnam Releases New Regulation on Road Transport of Dangerous Goods
On December 18, 2024, Vietnam issued Decree No. 161/2024/ND-CP stipulating the List of dangerous goods, transportation of dangerous goods and procedures for granting licenses and certificates of completion of training programs for drivers or escorts transporting dangerous goods on roads. The Decree takes effect from January 1, 2025.

EU Introduces 40 Hazardous Chemicals to PIC Regulation
European Union is adding 40 chemicals in the Annex I of Regulation (EU) No 649/2012 (PIC Regulation), including 35 pesticides and 5 used as industrial chemicals, such as abamectin, difenacoum, fenpropimorph, dimethomorph, triadimenol and penflufen.
