Vietnam Publishes New Law on Management and Use of Explosive Precursors
On June 29, 2024, the 15th National Assembly of Socialist Republic of Vietnam adopted the Law on Management and Use of Weapons, Explosive Materials and Support Instruments (Law No.42/2024/QH15). This Law comes into force on January 1, 2025 and supersedes the current Law No.14/2017/QH14.

India Delays Quality Control Orders for PVC and PP Materials
On August 6, 2024, India's Department of Chemical and Petrochemicals (DCPC) notified on the Gazette of India to further delay the implementation of Quality Control Orders (QCOs) for Polypropylene (PP) Materials for Moulding and Extrusion and Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVC) Homopolymers. The latest implementation is December 24, 2024.

China Publishes GB 30000.1 (General Specifications) for GHS Implementation
On July 24, 2024, GB 30000.1-2024 Specification for classification and labelling of chemicals—Part 1:General rules was officially published on the National Public Service Platform for Standards Information. It shall take effect from August 1, 2025.

India Drafts EPR Regulation for Non-Ferrous Metals
