Summary

On 28 Dec 2016, China MEP announced on its website that the previous qualification system will be abolished and only the institutes listed on the online management platform are accredited to provide testing data for China new chemical notification (China NCSN) from 1 Apr 2017. SCC-MEP will from then on only accept testing data generated by institutes published on the SCC website.

To meet industry requirements for qualified testing data acceptable for China new chemical notification, China MEP according to the Measures for the Administration of Chemical Testing Good Laboratory Practice previously approved in 2012, 2014 and 2015 three batches of 13 eco-toxicological testing institutes.  The test items already entrusted to the previous MEP-GLP approved 13 institutes will not be affected. However, potential notifiers of China new chemical substances in the future should only choose institutes from those already listed on the platform. The individual capacities of each institute vary and all notifiers should pay special attention to these differences.
