On June 23, 2017, the Turkish Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change (MoEUCC) introduced its By-law on Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (KKDIK Regulation; a.k.a. Turkey REACH) modelled on EU REACH. Turkey REACH took effect on December 23, 2017, aiming to regulate the safe use of chemicals in the Turkish market to ensure sound protection for human health and the environment. By the official gazette dated December 23, 2023, the MoEUCC revised Turkey REACH to gradually extend the registration deadlines based on tonnage and hazard classification.
