Taiwan Proposes Amendments to Permit Registration and Approval Regulations for Toxic and Concerned Chemical Substances

On July 11, 2023, Taiwan’s Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) proposed amendments to the Permit Registration and Approval Regulations for Toxic and Concerned Chemical Substances. Public comments are welcome before August 10, 2023.

EU Adds 24 CMR Substances to REACH Restriction List

On June 8, 2023, European Commission announced to add 24 entries of CMR substances to Annex XVII to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006. The list of substances are published in Commission Regulation (EU) 2023/1132 on the Official Journal of the European Union on June 9. The amendment comes into force on December 1, 2023.

Japan Announces Updates to PAC List, 6 Substances Removed and 6 Added

According to the Gazette on April 3, 2023, Japan added six substances to the List of Priority Assessment Chemical Substances (PACs) following the removal of six substances on March 31. The total number in the List is 218 now.
