On Jan 5, Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry issued a notice reminding the industry to notify the authority before Feb 29, 2016 the actual quantities of relevant chemicals manufactured, used and imported in the preceding year (2015) which are regulated by the Act on Prohibition of Chemical Weapons and Control, etc. of Specific Chemicals.
Chemicals subject to the annual notification are specified in Article 2 & 29 of the Act and Article 3 & 4 of its Enforcement Order, including Class I Designated Chemicals, Class II Designated Chemicals, organic chemicals and Specific Chemicals. The threshold quantities are specified in the following table:
