Recently, Chile's Ministry of Environment (MMA) released its second batch of national chemical inventory, which contains 11 hazardous substances for non-industrial use notified during the year 2025 under its REACH-like regulation (Decree 57/2019).
With the promulgation of the list, any unlisted hazardous substance for non-industrial use is considered a new substance. It shall be notified prior to commercialization, importation or manufacture if the concerned quantities exceed 1 ton per year.
Meanwhile, for substances originally notified in 2024 (hazardous substances for industrial uses) must be re-notified by August 30, 2026.
The next round of registration will kick off from February 9, 2027 until August 30, 2027. Substances in mixtures for industrial use are required to be notified by the prescribed deadline.
The official list can be accessed here.
