China to Develop National Information Query System for Disinfectants

According to a May 8^th notice issued by the Supervision Center under the National Health and Family Planning Commission, China will develop a national information system for disinfectants to enable a unified information management across the nation and facilitate public query.

Local agencies will report to the Supervision Center on all licensed disinfectant manufacturers and certified products within their geographical divisions before July, along with their comments on the new national information system.

China has developed a regulatory system which focuses on pre-market approval and post-market supervision of disinfectants. The new national information system will increase information transparency for downstream distributors and consumers.
