On Jul 16, China MOT published the expert consultant list tasked with guiding administrative reform, development of national standards etc. for road transportation of dangerous goods.
The group members consist of 32 experts and researchers from management departments, scientific research institutions, universities and relevant enterprises. Experts shall be responsible for:
investigating and proposing policy to improve safe and efficient road transportation of dangerous goods
participating in formulating/revising related regulations/standards,
participating in the safety supervision/inspection and accident survey on road transportation of dangerous goods
tracking the development of international regulations and making relevant proposals
The scope of administration of road transportation of dangerous goods includes: classification and identification, transport packaging, special vehicle equipment, consignment, transport operation and supervision of transport enterprises.
Experts will be subject to a 3-year term and high performers will be considered for reappointment. Conversely experts that fail to fulfill their duties and responsibilities will be removed.
