EU Proposes Significant Changes to REACH Fees and SME Verification Rules

The EU is proposing a 19.5% increase in REACH fees and streamlined SME verification rules to ensure ECHA's financial stability and procedural integrity.

The European Commission has recently unveiled a draft amendment to REACH Fee Regulation (EC) No 340/2008, proposing a substantial increase in standard fees and a comprehensive overhaul of the Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (SME) verification process.
