GCC Member States to Adopt UN GHS Rev.10

GCC member states (excluding Saudi Arabia) have notified the WTO of a final draft GHS regulation aligned with the UN GHS Rev.10, with a 60‑day comment period ending on February 15, 2026.

On December 17, 2025, Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states, including the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, and Yemen, notified the World Trade Organization (WTO) of the Final Draft of The Global Harmonized System (GHS) in Gulf Standardization Organization (GSO) Member Countries, which aims to establish the mandatory framework for the classification and labelling of chemicals aligned with the UN GHS Rev.10. The notification initiates a 60-day comment period ending on February 15, 2026, after which the regulation is expected to proceed toward formal adoption.
